On July 31, in the lead-up to the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, the Party Committee of the Group convened a symposium for retired military personnel titled “Celebrating August 1st, Carrying Forward the Long March Spirit, and Striving Ahead on a New Journey.” Comrade Wang Jinda, a 2024 National Model Retired Military Personnel as well as the Group’s Party Secretary and Chairman, attended the meeting.

This year marks the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the 90th anniversary of the victorious Long March of the Red Army. It also commemorates the 20th anniversary of Ruida Chemical’s establishment of its plant in Alashan. At the symposium, attendees watched a promotional video on Ruida Group, gaining a shared appreciation of the company’s development journey. They then viewed a presentation highlighting the exemplary deeds of Comrade Meng Lin—recipient of the 2025 Autonomous Region’s “Most Beautiful Veteran‑Supporting Figure” award and legal representative of Ruixin Chemical—followed by a screening of the documentary “The Long March,” which revisited General Secretary Xi Jinping’s five key summaries of the Long March spirit delivered at the 2016 commemorative conference marking the 80th anniversary of the Red Army’s victory, paying tribute to the martyrs and drawing inspiration from the spirit of the Long March.

Twelve veteran representatives, nominated by five Party branches, recalled their military service and shared the insights and reflections that their time in the armed forces had instilled in their lives. All expressed that, though they have laid down their uniforms, they remain true to their original aspirations and carry the spirit of the military with them. They pledged to continue upholding the fine qualities and work ethic honed in the military—strict discipline, a willingness to tackle tough challenges, a sense of responsibility, strong execution, and unwavering obedience—in their professional endeavors.

Comrades Mao Kecheng, Liang Zhen, and Meng Lin—company leaders and members of the Party Committee who previously served in the military—after listening to everyone’s thoughts and suggestions for the company’s development, drew on their own military experience to share the spirit of safeguarding the country that the armed forces uphold: “Once you step into the barracks, you remain a soldier for life.” They also commended the outstanding contributions made by all over the years in areas such as workplace safety, project construction, and grassroots management, while expressing high hopes for their continued dedication.

Comrade Wang Jinda, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, extended festive greetings and his warmest wishes to all retired military personnel, expressing his gratitude for their support of Ruida’s development. He encouraged his fellow comrades to keep in mind the principle that “leaving the military does not mean leaving the Party, and retiring from service does not mean abandoning one’s aspirations,” to continue upholding the spirit of the Long March, to shoulder heavy responsibilities in their respective roles, and to contribute fresh strength to Ruida’s high-quality development.
