Metallic sodium
Metallic sodium is applied to many industrial fields. In the metallurgical industry, metallic sodium also serves as the reducing agent for making titanium, zirconium, tantalum and other metal; serves as the alterant of Al-Si alloy in the foundry industry to change the strength and plasticity of alloy. It is used for making indigo dye, tricresyl phosphate, fatty alcohol, sodium methoxide, sodium ethoxide and other chemical products in the chemical industry. The annual output of liquid chlorine can be up to 45,600 tons.
