Going to the Front Line, Reforming the Writing Style | Guarding the Central Command at Your Fingertips, Women Shining with Their Best — The Central Control Room of Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical Co., Ltd. Honored as a “National Model Worker Vanguard”
2026-04-30
Rooted in the frontline of the chemical industry at the Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the 11 female employees of the Central Control Room at Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical have steadfastly held key production positions for eight years, vigilantly monitoring process parameters around the clock to uphold the bottom line of safe production with meticulous rigor. Through their day-in-and-day-out dedication and pragmatic commitment, this all-female team was honored as a National Model Worker Unit in 2026, showcasing a unique and inspiring presence on the front lines of the chemical industry.

At 1:00 a.m., as the city lies deep in sleep, the central control room of Ruixin Chemical remains brightly lit. On the massive DCS screen, real-time process data pulse and update continuously. Five on-duty operators keep their eyes fixed on the dynamic curves, monitoring the smooth operation of the entire production unit around the clock. As the “central brain” of chemical production, the central control room coordinates the scheduling of the entire production process, anticipates safety risks, and addresses unexpected hazards—making it the critical line of defense for the company’s safe production.

Zhao Jiangli, Deputy Director of the Central Control Room, Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical Co., Ltd.

Our shift operates around the clock—there’s no distinction between day and night; it’s simply “on duty” or “on standby.” The central control room is the lifeblood of production: even a single incorrect parameter can lead to a major incident, so there’s absolutely no room for carelessness. We must remain constantly vigilant.
Ma Yujiao, shift supervisor of the central control room, has served in her post for eight years and is the team’s leader in ensuring safety and stable production. Every morning, she conducts the shift handover on time, meticulously reviews the night-shift operating records, and rigorously controls key parameters such as electrolyzer temperature, equipment pressure, and chlorine purity, leaving no detail of production oversight unattended. One unexpected incident during a night shift left a lasting impression on the team. At 2:00 a.m., while conducting a routine inspection of the data curves, the on-duty operator noticed that the pressure in the main chlorine pipeline was rising and the opening of the reflux control valve was gradually decreasing—subtle fluctuations that are all too easy to overlook but precisely signaled an impending pipeline blockage.

Ma Yujiao, Shift Supervisor of the Central Control Room at Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical Co., Ltd.

At the time, my heart was in my throat—worried that a pipeline might get blocked or equipment might malfunction. If an accident were to escalate, the consequences would be unimaginable. We kept a close eye on the curves while simultaneously calling for on-site inspections, and within ten minutes we nipped the potential hazard in the bud. Even now, thinking back sends shivers down my spine, but it also fills me with a profound sense of accomplishment.
This rapid response stems from the team’s rigorous, day-in-and-day-out training. They strictly adhere to management protocols, conducting weekly self-inspections for potential hazards, maintaining a closed-loop record-keeping system each week, and holding monthly reviews and summaries. Over the past three years, they have corrected 137 instances of non-standard operating procedures and addressed 280 identified safety hazards, resulting in a 40% improvement in emergency response times. For more than 2,900 days and nights over the past eight years, they have remained steadfast in their commitment, upholding an impeccable track record of zero errors, zero mistakes, and zero accidents—thereby firmly safeguarding the company’s bottom line for safe production.

While firmly upholding the safety bottom line, the team has grounded its efforts in actual production conditions, focusing on technological upgrades to enhance quality and reduce costs while boosting efficiency. Zhao Jiangli, a technical leader within the team, dedicates herself to data analysis, concentrating on optimizing electrolytic cell operations. She leads her colleagues in meticulously comparing operational curves from previous years and conducting repeated simulations and fine-tuning in her spare time. After more than a hundred simulation runs and dozens of on-site adjustments, the team successfully identified the optimal combination of operating parameters, resulting in a 5% increase in single-cell reaction efficiency. Although this improvement may seem small, it delivers substantial benefits: the enterprise now produces an additional 968 metric tons of metallic sodium and 1,500 metric tons of liquid chlorine annually, generating over RMB 14 million in additional economic value, while also saving 3.49 million kilowatt-hours of electricity. In this way, the team has achieved the dual outcomes of improved quality and increased output, along with energy conservation and cost reduction.

During that period, I was completely obsessed—my mind was consumed by temperature, pressure, and voltage. I thought about it at every meal and even in my sleep, constantly pondering how to fine-tune the parameters to achieve optimal performance: higher efficiency and lower energy consumption.

Keeping pace with the enterprise’s green transformation, the team has proactively tackled low-carbon technological upgrades. Leveraging projects such as the renovation of the electrolyzer chlorine system and the optimization of accident chlorine absorption and treatment processes, the team has secured three national invention patents and reduced annual carbon emissions by approximately 50,960 kilograms. Through refined and intelligent operations management, the team has helped the enterprise achieve stable, green, and low-carbon production.

Zhang Aihua, Shift Supervisor of the Central Control Room, Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical Co., Ltd.
By leveraging the characteristics of new-energy power generation, we have optimized operational strategies, thereby supporting enterprises in their green transformation while also aligning with the national “dual carbon” strategy.

Grounded in the realities of their respective roles, the team has strengthened its internal development, with Party members taking the lead and spearheading the resolution of challenging tasks. Veteran employees mentor and guide their younger colleagues, enabling rapid professional growth, while team members consistently offer mutual reminders and support. Over the years, despite changes in team membership, the spirit of unity, collaboration, pragmatism, and a strong sense of responsibility has remained steadfast.

Zhao Jiangli, Deputy Director of the Central Control Room, Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical Co., Ltd.
This honor does not belong to any one individual; it is the result of eight years of tireless, round-the-clock dedication and painstaking effort by all 11 of us sisters. As long as the screens remain lit and our posts are held firm, we will continue to fine-tune every parameter and perfect every operation, steadfastly guarding the command center and holding the front-line post, so that we can contribute even more of our strength as women to the development of our enterprise and the High-tech Zone.

Day and night alternate, with round-the-clock vigilance. From safety management and control to technological innovation, from energy conservation and consumption reduction to green development, the 11 female employees in the central control room of Ruixin Chemical uphold their mission with a strong sense of responsibility and dedicate themselves to frontline operations with meticulous craftsmanship. Being awarded the “National Model Worker Vanguard” is not only an affirmation but also a powerful source of motivation. Moving forward, they will continue to hold fast to their critical roles in chemical production, exemplify pioneering spirit and exemplary conduct, and contribute their distinctive strength to the high-quality industrial development of the Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
