“The National Model Worker Vanguard” – Central Control Room of Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical Co., Ltd.: Safeguarding the “Central Hub” of Production and Showcasing the Outstanding Contributions of Women

2026-05-03

On the front lines of chemical production in the Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone, there is a dedicated all-female team—the Central Control Room of Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical Co., Ltd. Comprising 11 female employees, this team has steadfastly held key production positions for eight years, maintaining round-the-clock vigilance and implementing meticulous process control to ensure safe operations. With unwavering dedication and a commitment to excellence, they have built a robust safety barrier while driving quality improvement, efficiency gains, and a green transformation through innovation and practical action. Their outstanding skills and remarkable achievements have earned them recognition, culminating recently in the prestigious National Model Worker Team award for 2026—a testament to the radiant contributions of women industrial workers in the new era on the front lines of chemical manufacturing.

In the early hours of the morning, as the city falls silent, the central control room of Inner Mongolia Ruixin Chemical Co., Ltd. remains brightly lit, with nearly a hundred sets of process data flashing in real time on the screens. The on-duty personnel closely monitor the dynamic curves and precisely oversee equipment operation, ensuring stable and orderly production around the clock.

“Our positions demand unwavering vigilance at all times—there is absolutely no room for carelessness,” said Zhao Jiangli, Deputy Director of the Central Control Room, underscoring the stringent standards of steadfast duty. Over the past eight years, team members have consistently remained at their posts, rigorously adhering to the shift-handover procedures. At each handover, they meticulously review equipment operating records, conducting item-by-item checks on critical parameters such as electrolyzer temperature, equipment pressure, and chlorine purity, thereby exercising tight control over every production detail and embedding safety-production standards throughout the entire work process.

Uncompromising rigor has forged exceptional emergency response capabilities. During a late-night shift, an on-duty operator, while analyzing data, keenly detected a subtle but significant fluctuation: the pressure in the electrolytic chlorine main pipeline was rising abnormally, while the opening of the reflux control valve was slowly decreasing. This easily overlooked change turned out to be an early warning sign of a pipeline blockage. “We simultaneously monitored the trend curves and coordinated with field personnel to conduct a thorough inspection, promptly eliminating the potential hazard,” recalls Ma Yujiao, shift supervisor in the central control room, still vividly recalling that emergency response scenario.

Rapid and precise emergency response is no accident—it is the result of the team’s rigorous, routine training. The team strictly adheres to management protocols, conducting weekly self-inspections for potential hazards, maintaining a closed-loop record-keeping system each week, and carrying out monthly reviews and summaries. Over the past three years, a total of 137 instances of non-compliant operations have been corrected and 280 various safety hazards have been rectified, resulting in a 40% improvement in the speed of emergency response. For more than 2,900 days and nights over the past eight years, the team has remained steadfast, consistently maintaining a flawless record of zero errors, zero mistakes, and zero accidents, thereby firmly safeguarding the bottom line of safe production.

While steadfastly upholding the safety bottom line, this all-female team has delved deeply into technological innovation, leveraging meticulous craftsmanship to tackle challenging issues and drive quality improvement and efficiency gains. In response to the persistent pain point of optimizing electrolyzer operation, Zhao Jiangli, a technical leader within the team, spearheaded her colleagues in meticulously comparing operational curves from previous years and conducting repeated simulations and fine-tunings during their spare time. After more than a hundred simulation runs and dozens of on-site adjustments, the team successfully identified the optimal combination of operating parameters, resulting in a 5% increase in single-cell reaction efficiency.

“During that period, my mind was consumed by temperature, pressure, and voltage—constantly pondering how to fine-tune the process parameters to achieve optimal performance, further boosting efficiency while reducing energy consumption.” Zhao Jiangli told reporters that what may seem like a minor improvement in efficiency actually delivers substantial economic benefits. After the optimization plan was implemented, the company saw an annual increase of 968 metric tons in metallic sodium production and 1,500 metric tons in liquid chlorine output, generating more than RMB 14 million in additional economic value and saving 3.49 million kilowatt-hours of electricity. This resulted in a dual breakthrough: enhanced product quality and increased output on the one hand, and energy conservation and cost reduction on the other.

Grounded in the overarching vision of green development, the team has kept pace with the enterprise’s low-carbon transformation by proactively engaging in technological innovation and fully implementing the “dual carbon” strategy. Team members have spearheaded numerous low-carbon technology upgrade projects, including the renovation of the electrolyzer chlorine system and the optimization of accident chlorine absorption and treatment processes, resulting in the successful acquisition of three national invention patents. Through process optimization and intelligent control, the enterprise is able to reduce annual carbon emissions by approximately 50,960 kilograms. Moreover, by leveraging refined operational management and aligning production strategies with the characteristics of new-energy power generation, the enterprise is steadily advancing on a path of green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.

Day and night, they stand firm without complaint, their original aspirations as steadfast as a rock as they forge ahead. From building an ironclad safety and prevention barrier to leveraging technological innovation to boost efficiency, and then to implementing low-carbon upgrades that drive transformation, these 11 female chemical industry professionals have embodied their commitment through responsibility and demonstrated their sense of duty through hard work. This year’s award of the “National Model Worker Vanguard” is a profound recognition of the Ruixin Chemical Central Control Team’s outstanding performance and practical achievements—and it serves as fresh motivation to keep pressing forward. Looking to the future, Zhao Jiangli said with unwavering resolve: “As long as the screens remain on and our posts are manned, we will continue to fine-tune every parameter and perfect every operation, safeguarding the central control hub and holding fast to our vanguard role, so that we can contribute even more—through the strength of women—to the development of our enterprise and the High-tech Zone.”
